Adityanath pays tribute to UP’s first CM on birth anniversary

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday paid tribute to the first Chief Minister of the state Bharat Ratna Govind Vallabh Pant on his 135th birth anniversary at Lok Bhavan here.
The chief minister said Govind Vallabh Pant was a great freedom fighter and had actively participated in the freedom movement led by the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.
He said keeping in mind Pant ji’s hard work and organisational ability, he was given the responsibility of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
He got the opportunity to serve as the Home Minister of India and served the state and the country in various positions.
Many prominent people including Lucknow Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia, former minister Mahendra Singh, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra and Principal Secretary Information Sanjay Prasad were present on the occasion.
