Young graphic designer killed in road accident at Haleangadi junction

Haleangadi: A bike rider died in a tragic road accident that occurred at the main junction of National Highway 66 here on Tuesday, September 13.
The deceased has been identified as Charanraj Shettigar (28), a resident of Pakshikere Hoskadu.
Charanraj was driving his motorbike when a tanker moving towards Udupi from Mangaluru hit him near the barricades placed on the main junction at Haleangadi. After the impact, the bike got stuck under the wheel of the tanker truck.
Charanraj sustained serious injuries in the accident and was rushed immediately to a private hospital in Mukka where the doctors declared him dead.
At the time of the accident, Charanraj was returning home from Surathkal where he worked as a graphic designer. He had gotten married a year ago, sources said.
Meanwhile, Mangaluru North Traffic police have registered a case.
