Robin Uthappa announces retirement from all forms of cricket

Bengaluru: Wicketkeeper and batsman Robin Aiyuda Uthappa announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Wednesday, September 14.
Taking to Twitter the cricketer tweeted, “It has been my greatest honour to represent my country and my state, Karnataka. However, all good things must come to an end, and with a grateful heart, I have decided to retire from all forms of Indian cricket. Thank you all”.

In a long note posted on Twitter, he thanked the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA), and Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) for letting him represent from respective states.
He has also thanked the IPL teams that he played in namely, the Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Pune Warriors India (PWI), and Rajasthan Royals (RR). He specially mentioned the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) teams for the wonderful memories and support during his journey in cricket.
Uthappa thanked his parents, sister, teammates, coaches, trainers, physios, ground staff, umpires, and his well-wishers for encouraging him and pouring all the love on him.
