Bantwal: Man dies after being hit by train

A 40-year-old man died after being hit by a train at Modankap in Bantwal police jurisdictional limits.
The deceased identified as Praveen Pujari (40), a resident of Mandadi was reportedly suffering from mental health issues for some time now.
It is suspected that he might have been hit by a train while he was walking near the railway tracks. Praveen sustained serious head injuries and was thrown into the nearby bushes as an impact of the collision.
He died due to profuse bleeding. Locals who saw his body notified the Bantwal police.
Police arrived at the spot and informed the Railway police.
