Bengaluru: Veteran BJP leader and former chief minister B S Yediyurappa has challenged the Karnataka High Court order directing the Karnataka Lokayukta Police to conduct a probe in relation to graft charges against him, in the Supreme Court.
The petition is scheduled to come up on Monday, September 19, before the two judge bench comprising Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justice Hima Kohli.
Earlier, social activist T J Abraham had levelled corruption charges against BSY, his son Vijayendra, grandson Shashidhar Maradi, State Cooperation Minister S T Somashekhar, and other officials in an alleged case of receiving kickbacks of Rs. 29 crores in Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) multi-storeyed building project contract at Konadasapura in Bidarahalli of Bengaluru city.
Abraham had alleged that money was transferred illegally from shell companies of Bengal to Vijayendra and Shashidhar’s companies.
