Bengaluru: Woman steals gold jewellery from friend’s house; Arrested

Bengaluru: A 32-year-old woman was arrested after she stole gold ornaments from her friend’s house in Bengaluru.

The arrested accused has been identified as Geetha PG, a resident of Mysuru.

On August 16, Geetha came to Bengaluru and visited her friend Lakshmi on the pretext of checking jewellery designs.

Lakshmi showed all her jewellery to Geetha and kept them in the locker but did not lock it.

The next day morning, Geetha entered Lakshmi’s room on the pretext of changing her dress and then left around 7.30 am.

Following this, Lakshmi found that all her jewellery and silver articles worth around Rs 10 lakh were missing.

The accused has now been arrested.
