Mangaluru: Married couple found dead; Suicide suspected

Mangaluru: A husband and wife duo was found dead in an apparent suicide, police said on Monday.
City Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar told the media that the deceased have been identified as Mallikarjun, a native of Belagavi, and his wife Sowmya, a resident of Bikarnakatte.
Mallikarjun worked as a web designer and Sowmya was an instructor at an ITI College. They had married each other about one and a half years ago. The couple had returned from a trip to Kodagu prior to their death, Shashi Kumar said.
They were found hanging at their residence, the police commissioner said. The reason for the extreme step is not yet ascertained, he added.
A case has been registered at the Kankanady Police station.
