Udupi: House gutted in fire due to short circuit

Udupi: A fire suspected to be caused by a short circuit destroyed a house in Vivekanandanagar of Parkala Eshwaranagar here on Wednesday, October 12.
Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in the incident as no one was at home, however, goods worth more than Rs 1 lakh including home appliances such as a television, fridge, the sofa was gutted in the fire.
A short circuit is suspected to have triggered the blaze. The firefighting personnel doused the fire.
