Bantwal: Miscreants brandish swords, attempt to attack MLA Harish Poonja

Bantwal: A gang of unknown miscreants allegedly tried to attack Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja on October 13 night in Farangipete.
It is said that Harish Poonja was traveling to Belthangady from Mangalore Airport. When they reached Farangipete, a few miscreants waylaid Poonja’s official vehicle and tried to attack the MLA.
Luckily, Harish Poonja was traveling in his relative’s car while the MLA’s official vehicle was following them.
Poonja’s Car driver Naveen has filed a police complaint. Further investigations are underway.
