Bantwal: Gold jewellery worth Rs 1.2 lakh stolen from GP official’s house

Bantwal: A theft was reported at a Gram Panchayat official’s house in Olabailu of Kukkala village.
The house belongs to Sylvia Fernandes, who works as a development officer in Sarpadi gram panchayat (GP).
The incident occurred when Sylvia had gone to her daughter’s house. The thieves cut the iron grills of the window to enter the house. They made away with gold ornaments worth Rs 1.2 lakh.
A case has been registered at Punjalkatte police station.
