PM Modi will unveil 108-feet high ‘Statue of Prosperity’ at KIA on Nov 11: Dr Ashwath Narayan

Bengaluru: State Higher Education Minister Dr. Ashwath Narayan on Wednesday, October 19 said that on Friday, November 11, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be unveiling the 108-feet-high bronze statue of ‘Nadaprabhu’ Kempegowda at Kempgowda International Airport.

Speaking to the media he said, “PM Modi will be unveiling the Kempegowda statue On November 11 and along with that he will also be inaugurating the Terminal-2 of KIA. The Kempegowda statue will be named ‘Statue of Prosperity’, reflecting the progress of Bengaluru under the vision of Kempegowda”.

He said that on Friday, October 21, as a part of ‘Nadaprabhu’ Kempegowda Campaign, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will be flagging of vehicles from the Vidhana Soudha.

The vehicles will there on travel to all the districts including several villages of the state to collect sacred soil and water from villagers and farmers. The soil and water will be then used to develop the proposed Kempegowda Theme Park at KIA from November 7.

Meanwhile, the minister said that the theme park spread across 23 acres at KIA will be developed in two phases. The first phase will be completed in nine months. Around Rs. 20 crores has been sanctioned for it.

He said that the theme park will comprise of a pathway, subway, audio-visual exhibition system, fountain, flower garden, amphitheater, and much more.
