Udupi: Truck catches fire after tyre burst

A lorry carrying wooden logs caught fire following a tyre burst on NH 66 near Kothalakatte in Uliyaragoli in the wee hours of Friday.
The truck was plying towards Kerala from Theerthahalli.
The wooden logs on the truck caught fire following the tyre burst. Motorsts plying on this stretch immediately called the fire brigade personnel and police who rushed to the spot and managed to douse the fire.
the lorry and over half of the logs on it were charred in the incident.
A case has been registered.
