Mangaluru: Three arrested, 32 gm MDMA seized

Mangaluru: The City crime branch officials on Thursday arrested three persons who were supplying drugs and seized 32 grams of MDMA from their possession.

The arrested accused have been identified as Abdul Rehman Arpan (24) of Ullal, Abdul Jalil (42) of Bokkapatna, and Mohammad Mansoor (29) of Boliyar.

The accused used to sell illegal drugs in Derlakatte, Mudipu, Nettilapadavu, Talapady, Ullal and Mangaluru.

After receiving a tip-off, police officials under the supervision of CCB Inspector Mahesh Prasad and PSI Rajendra B intercepted a car coming from Kerala near Talapady. The accused were arrested after the officials found drugs in the car.

Officials seized 32 grams of MDMA worth Rs. 1,62,000, 4 mobile phones, Rs. 22,000 cash and a car from the accused.  The estimated value of the seized goods is Rs 7,17,000.
