Manipal: ‘Udayavani Suvarnothara Sambhrama’, an event recognizing achievers from Manipal in the field of print journalism, was held on Monday, November 7, in association with MGM College.
Inaugurating the event, Udupi Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao said, “I thank Udayavani for recognizing the achievers in the field of print journalism. Udayavani is winning the hearts of people because of such events”.
Addressing the gathering, Zilla Panchayat CEO Prasanna H said, “The undivided Dakshina Kannada district has grabbed the attention of the world during pre and post-independence by its contribution in different fields”.
The programme was presided over by Nadoja Prof K P Rao.
CEO, MD, Manipal Media Networks Limited (MMNL), Vinod Kumar, Editor, Udayavani Manipal Edition, Aravinda Navada, Principal of MGM College Lakshminarayan Karanth and other guests were present.
Senior Correspondent/Reporter, Udayavani, Matpady Kumaraswamy welcomed the gathering. CEO, MD, MMNL Vinod Kumar honoured the guests. HOD, Department of Journalism, MGM College, Manjunath Kamath rendered a vote of thanks. Lecturer Suchith Kotian compered the programme.
