Class 10 student jumps to death from 14-floor apartment hours after he was caught cheating

Bengaluru: A class ten student jumped to death from the terrace of a 14-floor apartment building at Balaji Layout, Thanisandra Main Road in north Bengaluru on Tuesday, November 8 evening.
The deceased boy has been identified as Moin Khan, son of Mohammed Noor, a two-wheeler mechanic.
The incident took place at his friend’s apartment.
On Tuesday, evening the residents of the building spotted the boy clinging to the edge of the parapet wall of the terrace of RR Signature Apartment, while a resident of the apartment rushed up to save him, several people on the ground pleaded with him not to jump. However, Moin Khan let go off the parapet wall, hit the ground below, and died on the spot.
Reportedly, the boy jumped to death hours after he was allegedly caught indulging in malpractice in a test conducted at his school
Following the incident, father of the boy filed a complaint blaming the school management and security staff of the apartment for his son’s death.
