Bengaluru: Bill issue faced on BESCOM software resolved, says BESCOM MD

Bengaluru: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has notified that the technical glitch observed in the BESCOM software observed during the issue of the electricity bill on November 1 has been resolved.

Managing Director of BESCOM, Mahantesh Bilagi informed that there was no need for the BESCOM customers to be worried as November 1 bill issued with the difference has been resolved.

He said, “Technical difficulties were observed due to the transfer of software management services from Infosys to Infotech Computer Solutions company. Hence there was a difference in the amount on the bill. The issue has been rectified and resolved. Accurate bill has been updated on the computer and hence when paying the bills through the app or in the respective billing counters, customer need not pay additional amount”.

Meanwhile, on information circulated across social media platforms and electronic media about customers facing trouble paying bills online is far from the truth, and the customers need not worry.
