Belthangady: Mini-tempo carrying pilgrims falls into ditch, several injured

Belthangady: Several people were injured when a mini-tempo fell into a roadside ditch at Kaukrady village in Belthangady.

According to sources, the tempo was moving towards Kukke Subramanya temple carrying pilgrims from Bengaluru who had arrived at Dharmasthala earlier. The man behind the wheel lost control and the vehicle crashed into a ditch at Moodubailu in Kaukrady near Kokkada.

At least 8 persons reportedly sustained injuries. they were rushed to a nearby hospital in Kokkada with help from locals. It is gathered that 2 of them were referred to a hospital in Ujire for advanced treatment.
