Kundapura: Police looking for bag carried by deceased Dr Krishnamurthy

Kundapura: Police have found clues that the Dr. Krishnamurthy S of Badiadka, who was found dead on railway tracks under mysterious circumstances, had travelled from Kundapur to Siddapura in a bus before his death.
A CCTV camera in Shastri Circle here recorded the doctor carrying a bag, which is yet untraceable.
The mutilated body of Dr. Krishnamurthy, who had gone missing from his clinic in Badiadka on November 8, was found on the railway tracks at Kadu Ajjimane in Hattiyangadi village under Kundapura rural police station limits on November 9. On November 10, his family identified the body.
It is gathered that Dr. Krishnamuthy had arrived in Kundapur by a KSRTC bus. He had walked to Shastri circle and inquired about the route to the railway station. A CCTV camera captured the doctor travelling by a private bus moving towards Siddapura. It is suspected that he may have gotten down on the way to reach the railway track near Hattiyangadi.
Meanwhile, police have recovered some personal items of the deaceased doctor including his spectacles, slippers, and a belt. However, the bag he was carrying is still missing. Police are on the lookout for the bag as it may contain vital clues regarding the death.
Meanwhile, Udupi Superintendent of Police Hakay Akshay Machindra refused to divulge any details about the investigation findings. “We cannot say anything right now at this stage of the investigation. More information will be given only after the investigation is completed,” he said.

Meanwhile, Manjeshwar police have registered a case against 56 people who took part in a march at Paivalike demanding a thorough probe into the mysterious death of Dr. Krishnamurthy. They have been charged with creating a traffic disruption.
