SKDRDP achieves a new milestone: Completes 1 Cr Digital Sevas under CSC

Belthangady: Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) has reached the milestone of providing one crore Digital Seva services under the CSC initiative of the Digital India Programme of the Union government.

Union Women and Child Welfare minister Smriti Irani distributed the 1,00,00,000th Digital Seva to the beneficiary on Tuesday, November 22.

On this occasion Dharmadhikari and member of Parliament Dr D. Virendra Heggade, Hemavathi V. Heggade, D. Surendra Kumar, Executive Director of SKDRDP Dr. LH Manjunath, Chief Operating Officer Anil Kumar, Project Director were present.

SKDRDP runs 9250 CSC Seva Kendra across the state.

About CSC

According to the Digital Seva website,  the Common Services Centers (CSC) are one of the crucial enablers of the Digital India Programme. They are the access points for delivery of various e-governance and business services to citizens in rural and remote areas of the country.

It is a pan-India network catering to regional, geographic, linguistic and cultural diversity of the country, thus enabling the Government’s mandate of a socially, financially and digitally inclusive society.

CSCs offer assisted access of e-services to citizens with a focus on enhancing governance, delivering essential government and public utility services, social welfare schemes, financial services, education and skill development courses, health and agriculture services and digital literacy, apart from a host of B2C services.
