The next time you are at the railway ticket window, be careful. Social media has brought to light an instance of a cash scam at the Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station.
A viral video clip, shared by RAILWHISPERS on Twitter, shows a railway employee cleverly defrauding a customer during a cash-based transaction. The booking clerk accepts Rs 500 but uses shady scamming methods to try to dupe the traveller.
When the customer put down a Rs. 500 note to pay for a seat on the Superfast Gwalior train, it was dishonestly exchanged for a Rs. 20 note from the railway worker’s pocket. Later, the clerk is seen asking for payment once more in order to issue a Rs 125 ticket.
