Bengaluru: Amid several reports of Ola, Uber drivers and food delivery executives assaulting women and involving in illegal activities, City Police Commissioner Pratap Reddy ordered all taxi drivers and delivery executives to obtain NOCs from the police.
The city police commissioner held a meeting with the senior officers of taxi service aggregators and online food delivery companies on Saturday in Bengaluru.
He further said that cab aggregators like Ola and Uber must make police verification a pre-requisite for hiring drivers.
If employees are found involved in illegal activities, strict action will be taken against the companies, he added.
