Shiralakoppa: Miscreants painted graffiti on walls in different parts of Shiralakoppa town of Shivamogga district inciting people to join the now-banned CFI and PFI organizations. This has again created a controversy.

The graffiti was visible in more than 9 places around the town. Messages on “join CFI” were seen scribbled using blue and red spray paint. A star was found placed at the top of the writing.

The graffiti was visible on a compound wall next to the old petrol station, an electric pole leading to Bhovi Colony, a cement board and an electric pole near the road cross leading to Dodda Banadakeri, the walls of a Bilal Mosque, and a house next to it, and many other places.

A suo moto case has been registered in this regard at the Shiralakoppa police station.

The Union government had imposed a ban on the Popular Front of India (PFI), Campus Front of India (CFI), and several of their associates for their alleged terror activities. It said there had been many instances of international linkages of PFI with global terrorist groups such as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
