Moodabidri’s Mishal Queenie D’Costa receives bravery award from Fin min

Moodabidri: Mishal Queenie D’Costa, an IRS officer from Dakshina Kannada, has made everyone proud after being honoured with a bravery award by finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman for displaying extraordinary bravery in the line of duty.

Mishal is serving as the deputy director of indirect taxes at Mumbai Customs. She was honoured with a bravery award for chasing and catching Nigerian drug peddlers in a daring operation, during the last financial year, without even fearing for her life.

The bravery award was presented to her on DRI Foundation Day.

Mishal Queenie D’Costa is the second child of Lazarus and Nancy D’Costa of Neerude. She secured the 387th rank in the UPSC civil service examination in 2015.
