Bantwal: Kateel Mela 5th Chowki assistant dies of cardiac arrest

Bantwal: Kateel Yakshagana Mela’s 5th Mela Chowki assistant named Achyuth Naik (45), a resident of Kodangi of Maninalkur village has died due to cardiac arrest.

As per the reports on Monday midnight at around 1 AM Achyuth is said to have been packing materials after the Yakshagana programme at Pallamajalu of B.C. Road. At this point in time, he has collapsed.

Although he was rushed to the nearby hospital, the doctors confirmed that he was brought dead.

Achyuth, who was rendering his service in the field of Yakshagana for the past several years, used to run small hotels at Sarapady and elsewhere. He was also a cook.
