Attack on Advocate Kuldeep Shetty: DK lawyers demand action against police officers

Mangaluru: Lawyers of Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, December 7 held a protest at the Mangaluru court premises condemning the atrocity on Advocate Kuldeep Shetty by Punjalkatte police station personnel.

Addressing presspersons during the protest Advocate Sridhar Yenmakaje, General Secretary of Mangalore Bar Association demanded strict action against the police.

He further warned of bigger protests if any action is not taken within a day against the police officer involved in the incident.

Assault details:

On December 3, a case was filed against the advocate Kuldeep Shetty at Punjalkatte police station by his neighbor. In this connection, the police took Kuldeep Shetty during the night time entering his house.

As per reports the police who arrived at the residence of Kuldeep Shetty all of a sudden, tore his clothes, brought him to the police station, and assaulted him ignoring the pleas from his family members

A civil case is in court and the neighbors had filed a false theft case against Advocate Kuldeep.
