Kalaburagi: A 20-year-old youth allegedly murdered his father and disposed off his body by dismembering it and throwing it into a borewell located in their field.
The incident which took place in Kalaburagi’s Mudhol district bears an uncanny resemblance to the shocking Shraddha Walkar murder case.
The deceased has been identified as Parasurama Kulali (54) and the arrested accused is Vithala Kulali.
Reportedly, Parasurama would often scold and assault his son in a drunken stupor. On December 6 night, Vithala retaliated, when an inebriated Parasurama abused him again, by hitting his father with an iron rod causing his death.
Later, Vithala tried to dispose the body in the borewell located in their field. However, as the body did not go inside the narrow opening, Vithala chopped it into 30 pieces with an axe and then threw them into the borewell.
After the murder came to light, police dug up the area with a JCB and recovered Parasurama’s mortal remains.
A case has been registered at Mudhol police station.
