Mandya: An incident of a headmaster being thrashed by the girl students for allegedly lewd conduct has been reported from Katteri village of Srirangapatna taluk.

As per the reports, headmaster Chinmaya Anand Murthy is said to have allegedly misbehaved with a girl student at the hostel. Following this, she immediately alerted her fellow mates.

Enraged by this, a group of girl students attacked Murthy.

The attack video has now gone viral.

Upon receiving the information about the incident, the KRS Police reached the spot and assessed the situation.

Later, a case was registered against Murthy, leading to his arrest.

As per the preliminary reports, Murthy is said to be a ‘pervert’. Upon checking his mobile phone, the police got a recorded video of intimate moments of himself and a lady teacher on his phone.

Murthy is also accused of threatening girl students to ‘cooperate’ with him or would not allow them to clear the exams.

Meanwhile, District In-charge Minister K Gopalaiah has ordered Murthy’s suspension and directed the Zilla Panchayat CEO, deputy commissioner, and concerned officials on the same.

The minister said, “The courage shown by the girl students has set an example in society. The police department should take the accused out on a public procession and make him face humiliation so that such incidents do not recur. I’ve already directed the ASP to take stringent action against the accused and recommend the names of the girl students for the next set of ‘Shaurya Awards’.”
