Mangaluru: Third cruise ship ‘MS NAUTICA’ arrives at NMPT

Mangaluru: Cruise ship “MS NAUTICA”, the third vessel of the season to arrive in Mangaluru, was received at New Mangalore Port Trust on Thursday, December 15.
The vessel carrying a total of 945 people (548 passengers and 397 staff) arrived at NMPT at 6 AM on Thursday.
On the way to Maldives, the ship that had left from Muscat had anchored at Mumbai and Mormugao ports.
Its total length is 180.45 metres and has a load capacity of 30,277 tonnes.
The passengers were welcomed traditionally with local folk performances.

All the necessary arrangements including medical facilities, immigration, and customs counter, two buses, tourist cabs, etc, to visit tourist destinations were made. A meditation centre by the Aysuh Department was also established in the cruise lounge.
Shops with artifacts and clothes were opened for the passengers.
They were taken to Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple, St. Aloysius Chapel, local markets, Karkala Gomateshwara, Soans Farm, Savira Kambada Basadi at Moodabidri, and Achal cashew factory.
Later, on departing, the passengers were given mementos.
The ship departed for Kochi at 5 PM on Thursday.
