Moodabidri: State Higher Education Minister Dr. Ashwath Narayan inaugurated the sixth unit of the Mangalore University-affiliated College at Bannadka on Saturday, December 17.

Addressing the gathering he said, “Our government is committed to imparting quality education. In comparison with other states, Karnataka is at the forefront when it comes to the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP). For the better future of youths, the Skill Connect platform is implemented. They can register and avail its services. The government is also implementing E-Governance, Unified University College Management, E-Office, Seva Sindhu, etc.”

Launching the website of the college, Moodabidri legislator Umanath Kotian said, “The main intention to establish this college is to help educate students coming from economically weaker and middle-class families. This year, 100 percent enrolment of students is observed in this college, when compared to that of the previous year. To construct a state-of-the-art college building, five acres of land will be handed over to Mangalore University.”

Vice Chancellor, Mangalore University, P Subramanya Yadapadithaya said, “Our legislator has worked hard towards providing the college to the rural area. Along with ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas’, ‘Sabka Prayas’ is also important.”
