Bengaluru: In relation to PSI Recruitment Scam, Congress has released an alleged audio tape, claiming it to be a conversation between a candidate, and State Home Minister Araga Jnanendra.

The alleged audio tape was released by the Chairperson of KPCC Communications and Congress legislator Priyank Kharge, at the KPCC office, here.

As per the alleged audio tape released, the conversation claims that the minister was given evidence about malpractice in the physical examination, in which 402 out of 545 candidates had appeared.

Along with this, the candidate has also allegedly informed that three legislators, DG-IGP of Karnataka Police, and Kalaburagi police commissioner is also involved in the scam.

It is learned that the candidate has expressed displeasure about constraining the investigation process only to the accused IPS officer, Amrit Paul.

Meanwhile, addressing the media, Priyank said, “The candidate has mentioned that three legislators are involved in the scam. The state home minister must be held responsible and answerable for this. He must reveal their names and resign from the post of home minister.”

“When the candidate asks how the accused gets bail, the home minister answers saying the issue rose due to technical difficulties and hence we are thinking over it whether to file an appeal before the court or not. I want to ask the home minister, what does he mean by technical difficulty? So are the ones who argued in favour of the government incompetent?”, he questioned.

Priyank accused the BJP-led Karnataka Government to be partial in dealing with the case and that the Congress party will continue its protest.

He said that in relation to the PSI Scam case, the head of  KPCC Legal Cell, A S Ponnanna has filed a PIL before the Karnataka High Court and that the case would be soon heard by the court.
