Sulia: A group of miscreants who came in an ambulance alleged to have tried to kidnap a young business from Bellare.

It is alleged that on Monday, December 20 afternoon a group of 7-8 miscreants came in an ambulance to Kamadhenu jewelers owner Naveen Gowda’s residence and tried to abduct him.

After receiving information about the kidnap attempt, the ambulance drivers of the city soon chased the vehicle in which the alleged kidnappers were taking Naveen. They then waylaid the vehicle near Suntikoppa and reportedly rescued Naveen.

Persons who were in the ambulance with Naveen were handed over to the police. Meanwhile, Naveen was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Naveen’s mother claimed she was injured when she tried to stop them from kidnapping his son. She alleged that the Bellare police station refused to file a complaint about the attempted abduction.

Talking to the media, businessman Naveen said that several persons barged into his home and tried to forcibly take him away in an ambulance. An injection was administered to him, he said.

He further alleged that a family feud was behind the kidnap attempt.
