Puttur: Sexual harassment of girl; accused arrested

Puttur:  Police officials have arrested a man for sexually harassing a girl in Puttur.

The arrested accused has been identified as Taqiuddin, a resident of Kavu Maladka.

It is said that the accused was the victim’s father’s friend.  In October, he followed the girl to her school and asked her to come with him. He also threatened to kill her father.

On November 10, he forcefully took her along with him while she was on her way to school and sexually assaulted her.

The victim then informed her parents and a police complaint was filed.

A POCSO case has been filed against the accused.
