Tirumala: As the auspicious event “Vaikunta Dwara Darshan” is inching closer, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has made elaborate arrangements for hassle-free darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy and prasadam distribution system from January 2 to 11.

According to media reports, in a joint press statement, TTD Chairman YY Subha Reddy and Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal said that the TTDF will issue 45,000 slotted Sarva Darshan tickets per day from January 2 to 11 for the “Vaikunta Dwara Darshan” and the issuing of tickets will begin at 2 PM on January 1. For this, nine centres and a total of 92 counters have been arranged.

Meanwhile, TTD has made clear that for Vaikunta Ekadasi and Vaikunta Dwadasi on January 2 and 3 respectively, advanced bookings of accommodation from December 29 to January 3 will be closed, in view of new year’s day.

The VIPs will also be allotted only two rooms due to limited accommodations at the hilltop.

Considering the huge number of devotee footfalls to the hilltop shrine during the “Vaikunta Dwara Darshan”, referrals for VIP break darshan from January 1 to 11 will not be entertained.

In relation to the distribution of Annaprasadam, TTD has decided to open two more centres other than the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex (MTVAC) where free meals are served.

Reddy said that the food, coffee, and milk distribution will be made to devotees in standing in queue lines and at Narayangiri sheds.
