Mangaluru: Class 9 student killed after bus hits two-wheeler

Mangaluru: A 14-year-old boy died after a bus rammed into their two-wheeler at Ullanje near Kateel here on Monday evening.

The deceased identified as Charan was studying in ninth grade.

As per reports, Charan had sought a lift from a two-wheeler rider who was going towards Kinnigoli. The mishap took place near Jumadi Gudde when the bus plying from Kinnigoli to Kateel rammed into their vehicle.

Charan fell on the road and was run over by the bus. The rider fell on the other side and survived.

Following the accident, traffic was affected on the stretch for over an hour.
