In yet another real instance of a dog expressing his love towards humans, an 8-month-old dog was noticed waiting for the recovery of his owner patiently at the hospital where the latter had been admitted for treatment.
The photos of the dog named ‘Puppy’ glancing away at the ward where his owner Nagaratna Shastri, a resident of Soppugudde was admitted has gone viral on social media and reminds one of a scene from the blockbuster Kannada movie ‘Charlie 777’.
The dog seems to have grown popular among the locals here and is now fondly referred to as Charlie.
Shastri’s daughter Sudha Jois informed that they brought ‘Puppy’ home when it was 1.5 months old. When her mother recently got admitted to the hospital due to age-related reasons the dog too came to the hospital.
He would stand near the door without creating any kind of trouble for the hospital staff or visitors and would simply keep looking at the direction of the ward where Nagaratna was admitted. The day she was discharged, Puppy was crouching near the ambulance.
Nagaratna died sometime after her discharge and since then Puppy has been sitting quietly without eating anything. Sudha said that Puppy is understanding and senses if someone at home is unwell.
