Kasaragod: The preliminary autopsy report into the mysterious death of 19-year-old Anju Sreeparvathy has disproved food poisoning as the cause of her death. The report stated that she suffered from a bowel abnormality and was found to be affected by jaundice.
Following this, her viscera has been sent for chemical analysis for further investigation.
At the same time, the report also said that poison was found in Anjushree’s body. However, the forensic surgeon is of the opinion that it is not food poisoning. The report stated that the poison had disabled the intestines.
Anju Sreeparvathy, from Perumbala near Kasaragod, died at a hospital in Mangaluru on Saturday. The death was suspected to be food poisoning from eating ‘Kuzhimanthi’ which she purchased online from a restaurant named Romansia at Kasaragod on December 31. Later, state Health Minister Veena George, ordered a probe into the incident.
Against this background, police had taken three persons, including the hotel owner, into custody.
