Congress leaders visit Pacchanady dumping yard; discuss measures to control fire

Mangaluru: Several Congress leaders visited the Pacchanady dumping yard on Wednesday, January 11 and discussed measures to control the fire.

Former MLA Mohiudeen Bava has sought the resignation of MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty, who has refused to take responsibility for the Pacchanady fire. The district in-charge minister too has not yet visited the dump yard, he added.

He also called for a meeting to discuss methods for relocating the residents who live close by.

Former MLA Mohiudeen Bava, former MLC Ivan D Souza, former Mayor Kavitha Sanil, Corporator Shashidhar Hegde and others were present.
