Mangaluru: Three more arrested in drug peddling case

Mangaluru police have arrested three more persons in connection with the drug peddling case.

The arrested have been identified as Mohammad Afrar (23), of Kasava Bengre who works at a fruit shop, Adhun Dev, a native of Cochin, and Harsha Kumar, a native of Tumkur.

The arrest was made on the charges of consuming and peddling drugs, police said.

It may be recalled that Mangaluru City Police had arrested 10 persons, including an overseas citizen of Indian origin, a medical surgeon, and a medical officer, on charges of consuming and peddling cannabis (aka marijuana, ganja) seized 2 kg of the narcotic substance yesterday (Wednesday, January 11). Of the 10 arrested, four were women.
