Bantwal: Youth dies after falling into Netravathi river

Bantwal: A youth died after falling into the Netravati river near Panemagaluru Bridge on Thursday, January 12.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Poojary, a resident of Sajipa. The exact cause of his death is not yet known.
As per sources, the locals who noticed an abandoned two-wheeler near the old Panemangaluru bridge alerted the police and the fire station.
The fire department officers along with the local divers carried out a search operation and found Rajesh’a mortal remains.
The police who arrived at the spot suspect that Rajesh may have fallen into the river after meeting with an accident.
