Bengaluru: In a shocking crime, a man murdered his relative for advising him to take good care of his wife, police said.
The accused, Bharath was arrested for killing his relative Kesavamurthy (32) of Soladevanahalli.
Bharath, an employee at a garment factory, and Kesavamurthy who worked as a TT driver were relatives. Recently, Bharath’s wife complained to Kesavamurthy about her husband neglecting her. She also reportedly asked him to advise Bharath about mending his ways.
On January 13, Keshavamurthy, along with his friend Mallesh and Bharat consumed liquor in Chikkabanavara. While returning home, Keshavamurthy advised Bharath to look after his wife. In a fit of anger, Bharath stabbed Keshavamurthy and his friend Mallesh. Both were seriously injured and were admitted to the hospital by locals.
Keshavamurthy died on January 14 at a hospital due to the injuries sustained in the attack.
Soladevanahalli police registered a case and arrested Bharath for attacking and killing his relative.
