Bengaluru: Begur police personnel arrested a 53-year-old man in connection with house thefts and confiscated 350 grams of gold ornaments from his possession.

The arrested Nawaz Sharif has been involved in several theft cases for nearly 25 years now and has been jailed in the past too. He would get back to his criminal ways upon being released on bail. As many as 27 cases are registered against him at various stations in the city, including 10 in Begur police station.

Sharif had been released on bail recently after being arrested for theft by Kamakshipalya police six months ago.

Police said that Sharif would conduct a reiki and then conduct theft at houses where the owners usually hid away the key beneath a flowerpot or by the window. He would use the theft proceeds for drinking alcohol.
