Uppinangady mould disc blast: Tyre shop labourer killed

Uppinangady: A 46-year-old man working a tyre here died after suffering serious injury following a tyre mould disc blast.

The deceased has been identified as Rajesh (46), a resident of Alankaru village in Kadaba taluk.

As per sources, the tyre mould disc accidentally blasted when Rajesh was standing to it.

Due to the impact of the blast, Rajesh got seriously injured and was immediately rushed to a hospital. However, he breathed his last on the way to the hospital.

A case has been filed at the local police based on a complaint filed by the victim’s brother-in-law.
