Mangaluru: MLA and former minister Priyank Khargetargeted the BJP on the issue of corruption and said that the only achievement of the state BJP government was to give two corrupt Chief Ministers in three years.
He was delivering the keynote speech at a massive public awareness rally “against BJP’s lies” held on Friday evening at the Karnataka Seva Vrunda Forum in Suratkal.
Kharge said that the ’40 percent commission’ is not an allegation made by the Congress party, but an allegation made by the contractors’ association in the state. Due to the attitude of the government, contractors are forced into dire straits. “BJP MLA Yatnal has also accused the government of corruption. Pratap Simha also spoke about corruption,” he said.
“Where is BJP state president Nalin who said he will create 2 crore jobs?” Kharge asked touching upon the issue of job creation. He alleged that the state BJP government has sold the future of the youth by not providing employment.
Further, he alleged that BJP has made the coast a laboratory of hatred. “People need to think wisely and vote,” he said.
