Mulki: A container lorry overturned near the Karnad Petrol pump off the National Highway here on Saturday night.

The lorry was moving from Udupi towards Mangaluru skidded off road at a sharp bend on the NH-66. The driver was seriously injured in the incident.

The lorry toppled over a roadside stall selling rexine, damaging the property in stored there.

It was fortunate that the accident took place when there was no crowd. If it had taken place a little early or during the daytime, there might have been more casualties.
