Malpe Beach Festival concludes on a grand note

Malpe: A huge crowd visited Malpe beach on the concluding day of the 3-day Malpe Beach Utsav on Sunday organized as part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Udupi district formation.
More than 60,000 visitors took part in the activities planned on Sunday alone. The crowd swelled in the afternoon.
Various competitions including beach throwball, sand sculpting, painting, and a dog show, were held on Sunday from morning till evening. Food stalls serving a variety of cuisines tingled the tastebuds of the visitors.
Prizes were distributed to winners of competitions at the closing ceremony held in the evening.
The administration had arranged tight security to prevent any untoward incident at the beach. though elaborate parking arrangements were made, police were seen struggling to control traffic movement due to the high rush at the venue.
Yacht from Mumbai beckons tourists!
A luxury yacht operated by Mumbai’s Royal Myron company is docked at Malpe. For the next 20 days, it will accept tourists at Malpe. The yacht has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, and a cabin. MLA Raghupati Bhat inaugurated the tourist yacht. District Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao, SP Hakay Akshay Machhindra, Udupi City Council President Sumitra R. Naik, and other dignitaries were present.
