Katapady: MLA K Raghupathi Bhat on Sunday inaugurated ‘Kaustubha Residency’, a hotel and commercial complex at Katapadi Yenagudde on January 29.
Speaking at the event, Bhat said, ” Hotels in Udupi are renowned for their hospitality and delicious food. It is commendable that hotels today are offering services in response to all tourist and consumer demands. The gift of ‘Kaustubha’ comes at a time when Udupi is also promoting tourism in honour of the district’s Silver Jubilee.”
By extending warm hospitality to visitors arriving in Udupi, MLA Bhat hoped that the organization would flourish as a part of the district’s development of tourism.
The complex has been a venture by the former member of the Udupi Municipal Council and former president of the District Chamber of Commerce and Industry Srikrishna Rao Kodancha, who is also the proprietor of Vivek Essence Mart commercial establishments in Madgaon, Udupi, and Mangaluru.
Dignitaries including Tamil Nadu Hotel Association President A. Ramdas Rao, head of the Tantri family P. Ramdas Tantri among others were present.
The hotel complex is complete with a family restaurant, 26 AC and non-AC rooms, a party hall, and commercial outlets.
