NCC cadet Ashna Rai from M’luru receives Best Cadet Award from PM Modi

Mangaluru: NCC Naval Cadet Ashna Rai from Mnagluru received the All India Best Cadet Award (Gold Medal) from Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Annual NCC Rally held in New Delhi on Saturday.

Aashna is a II PUC student o St Aloysius PU College.

Ashna nursed the dream of joining the NCC since childhood. She joined the NCC unit when she was in 8th grade at Canara CBSE School. Later, she continued NCC service even during her PUC studies.

She was selected for the national-level NCC Rally after performing well in the district and state-level selection rounds.

She said that this achievement was not possible without the support and guidance of her former seniors NCC cadets Anish Rahul, Atiq D B, Roopit D’souza, and Manish as well as the guidance from Wing Commander Chandan Garg and Alvin Misquith.

Ashna Rai is the daughter of entrepreneur Ramanna Rai and teacher Akshatha Rai of Kadri Kambala, Mngaluru.
