M’luru: Teenager found dead at home, suicide suspected

Mangaluru: A teenager was found dead at his house on January 30 in a suspected suicide.

The deceased has been identified as Jnanesh (14), son of Jagadish and a resident of Kotimura in Padvu B village.

According to the police,  Jnanesh’s parents had scolded him for using the mobile phone.  Thereafter, he went into his room for a bath and bolted the door to his room. When he did not reappear even after a long time, the family peeked into his room from a window. To their shock, Jnanesh was found hanging from the ceiling fan.

He was later declared dead, police added.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered at the Kankanady police station in this regard.
