Mangaluru: Prof Yadapadithaya, vice chancellor (VC) of Mangalore University said that if UUCMS fails to publish results, Mangalore University will announce it within 10 to 15 days.

The vice chancellor was speaking to the students who had staged a protest at Mangalagangothri’s C V Raman Circle on Tuesday.

Yadapadithaya said, “Registrar of examination will clarify the re-evaluation and examination fee. A meeting with the social welfare department was held to discuss scholarships. At the Syndicate meeting, a decision will be made to prevent students from losing their NSB Scholarships.”

Registrar of examinations Prof P L Dharma, stated, “I have sent hundreds of emails from students to government.  In the university, there are no permanent staff. Due to this, we didn’t finish evaluating the answer sheets until yesterday. This is now being uploaded to UUCMS.”

One of the protestors, Girish said, “We have shown the power of students. We are fighting the system, not the individual. We do not want anyone’s resignation, we only want justice. If we don’t receive justice within ten days, we will intensify our protest.”
