Hindutva and Hinduism are two sides of the same coin: CT Ravi

Shivamogga: Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary CT Ravi on Monday said that Hindutva and Hinduism are two sides of the same coin and both the terms are synonymous.

Responding to Siddaramaiah’s statement, Ravi said, ” Hindus favor universal equality.  Since Siddaramaiah disagrees with Hindutva, he does not support equality. He supports untouchability and casteism. His statement makes it quite evident that he is engaging in caste politics.”

When asked about the confusion in the Soraba Assembly constituency, he said,” These things are common during elections. However, BJP will win here.  The list of candidates for the election will be sent by the State Committee. The issuance of tickets will be decided by the Parliamentary Board. Unlike JDS, ours is not a family show.”

CT Ravi also responded to HDK’s remarks about Union Minister Prahlad Joshi’s Brahmin community.

He said, ” Kumaraswamy is disappointed that BJP is gaining support all over the state. He still can’t accept BJP’s victory in Hassan. According to reports, the BJP will gain four more seats this time. We will win in 5 of the 7 Hassan constituencies this time.”

“In BJP, an ordinary party worker has the potential to rise to the positions of CM and PM. Yeddyurappa, a farmer’s son, becomes CM, and tea vendor Modi becomes PM. But in his party (JDS), that is not the case. Bhavani Revanna should be the candidate in Hassan. Suraj should be given an MLC ticket, while Prajwal Revanna should be given an MP ticket. Even if Anita Kumaraswamy did give up the Ramanagara constituency, it would only be for Nikhil Kumaraswamy. Only ‘Doddagaudru’, ‘Chikkagaudru’, and ‘Marigaudru’ are given opportunities in his party,” he added.
